About us
Castley Farm Kennels and Cattery is a small, family run boarding kennels and cattery in a convenient location for Harrogate, Leeds and the surrounding areas. Purpose built in 2010, owned and run by Richard and Sophie Lishman RVN.
We are based at Castley Farm, a working dairy farm set in the heart of Wharfedale and farmed by the Lishman family for 3 generations.
We pride ourselves on our high standard of care, cleanliness, knowledgeable staff and excellent facilities including our large grass runs.
Whether they are with us for the day or longer you can be assured that your dog will be comfortable in our clean heated kennels and enjoying regular exercise on the acres of beautiful private land which surrounds Castley Farm. If your cat is staying with us, they will enjoy our luxuriously furnished chalets, all with a view of the farm!
Being a small kennels and cattery makes us ideal for dogs and cats who like the quiet life and as an RVN Sophie has many years of experience working with dogs and cats of all shapes, sizes and personalities!

All of our staff are experienced pet owners with a wealth of knowledge and interest in dogs and cats and their welfare.

Owners Richard and Sophie Lishman along with their two boys Jack and Charlie have two lovely Labradors called Nell and Norm and resident farm dog Pippy!
Sophie is a qualified Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with a keen interest in medical nursing and canine behaviour.

Sophie's mum Joy has been with the kennel and cattery since it opened in 2011.
Joy has been a dog owner her entire life and currently has a Labrador called Hetty who you will often find helping at reception! She also has a cat called Mo who used to be a farm cat, but loved cuddles from Joy so much that she now lives with her.
